Firebuds' secret recipe as a show is teaching children the value of generational family through touching storylines.

Ep. 321 - "Father's Day Hoedown" (Seq. 14)
ACTION
The hallmark of a kids action show like Firebuds is typically a big dramatic rescue sequence at the end of each episode, followed by a life lesson learned. Here, father & son vehicles work together to extinguish a raging fire whirl, healing family rifts in the process. Helicopters have feelings too ya' know.

"Father's Day Hoedown" Script Page
This fire fighting montage has a lot of adrenaline packed into its half page of script, which at first glance reads as deceptively simple but logistically required a lot of strategic planning to execute effectively. It's these types of dynamic action sequences that made storyboarding on Firebuds so much fun.
