Ep. 102 - "Taking the Reins" (Seq. 16)

DRAMA

Malibu and Brooklyn Barbie track the stolen horse to a secluded shed.  I departed from the staging outlined in the script which originally had the Barbies off in the bushes passively observing suspect Lady Puddington from a distance; opting instead to move the girls right up close next to her, comically unnoticed.

Ep. 103 - "Veering Off Course" (Seq. 03)

DRAMA

Believing they are suspects in Pepper's horse-napping, Malibu and Brooklyn decide to surrender to British investigators.  The tone of this sequence was a bit tricky to figure out initially.  I finally cracked it by leaning heavily into the incompetence of the police.

Ep. 105 - "As Good as Gondola" (Seq. 06)

DRAMA

This sequence is a great example of problem solving often asked of story artists.  Set in a narrow alley, I needed to get creative with how I staged Cassidy and Renee observing Giovanni without themselves being noticed.  My solution was to hide the girls in a smelly dumpster, adding a level of humor to boot.

Ep. 106 - "Back in the Diamond Saddle" (Seq.04)

DRAMA

On a train back to England, the gang confronts Lady Puddington, hoping to elicit a confession of her involvement in the horse-napping caper once and for all.  I implemented claustrophobic staging in the confined train car to give the sense that the walls are closing in on Puddington.
