This bonding moment between Kazorn and Uni serves as the dark night of the soul Act Two break, with each laying his emotional cards on the table. To add some levity I created a pair of comic-relief goblin prisoners observing from the peanut gallery, reacting in pantomime to Kazorn's heartfelt conversation.

"Tough Love" Script Pages
In the script, this poignant dialogue takes place in a storage room where Kazorn and Uni have barricaded the door from enemy soldiers; in the story sketches it changed to a prison with Kazorn unable to unlock Uni's cell. The emotions are the same, but now the physical barrier between them raises the stakes.
