Playboy wanted to revisit classic party joke vignettes from its print publication and repackage them into 17-second animated interstitials for its pay cable programming. This was the very first professional piece of animation I ever did, predating my attending CalArts. Don't worry, it's clean humor (sorry).

Original "Fencers" Print Cartoon
Original illustration by prominent The New Yorker and Esquire cartoonist Howie Schneider (1930-2007) for the November 1957 issue of Playboy magazine. My assignment was to translate this fun gag into an equally entertaining short piece of film using these panels as reference for the animation key poses.
