COMEDY

When Family Guy first came out with it's parody trilogy, it wasn't common for an animated tv series to dedicate full episodes to lampooning Star Wars.  By the time this final installment was released three years later, Star Wars-dedicated episodes on shows like Robot Chicken and Phineas & Ferb were ubiquitous.

"It's A Trap" was not drawn the traditional way with pencil and paper like our first two Star Wars installments were, but rather used new pioneering digital storyboarding software.  As a result, this episode's storyboards have a much different feel and look to them then it's predecessors.

Originally called "Episode VI: The Great Muppet Caper" as a humorous inference to the often derided puppet-like Ewoks, the title was ultimately changed to the more manageable "It's A Trap".  Years later the three Star Wars parody episodes would be packaged under Laugh it Up Fuzzball: The Family Guy Trilogy.
