Traveling to Paris to rekindle their romantic "Zing", Johnny sneaks Mavis up to the roof of The Louvre Museum with a panoramic view of the city, reminiscent of their first date on the roof of the Hotel in Transylvania. This tender sequence didn't require gagging up. It was best left to the sincerity of the moment.

"Louvre Museum" Script Page
This one page heartfelt moment was scripted short but sweet. I did manage to incorporate a few innocuous visual gags into my story sketches: Mavis arriving at the landing ahead of Johnny to offer a helping hand, and Johnny hanging his backpack on the stone carved lions' mouth are two examples.
Seq. 4000 - "Quinston's Contract"
COMEDY
In a nefarious plot to usurp ownership of the hotel, here we see the script’s original villain, real estate developer Carter Quinston (a fast talking car salesman type swindler modeled on Quentin Tarantino) attempt to woo the hotel's monster residents by flying them on his luxury private jet en route to finding Drac.

"Quinston's Contract" Script Pages
A fun fish-out-of-water sequence, Genndy Tartakovsky's direction and Robert Smigel's script generously left the door open for story artists to add in monster gags to our sketches. The Human Brain getting brain-freeze from a cold sundae ice cream seemed like a "no-brainer" (pun shamelessly intended).
