Homely Dancarino bemoans his lack of luck with the ladies in this Lin-Manuel Miranda song. I designed this musical sequence to be the antithesis to "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid: Vivo is a less enthusiastic version of Sebastian Crab, while the indifferent swamp critters are busy fighting for survival.

More lyric sheets than script pages, the visuals for this song sequence were wholly entrusted with the story artist. Lin-Manuel Miranda's trademark hip-hop style of verse writing provided a plethora of descriptives to glean ideas from. Avoiding hard cuts, I opted instead for fluid transitions from shot to shot.
